Day 22 / 100: Books are like Chocolate for the Brain #the100dayproject #100daysOfBrainPower
Call me crazy but I love the smell and feel of a book. I am not one to use an e-reader and have a hard time reading online. I truly enjoy having a book in my hand, getting comfortable on the couch with a cup of coffee/tea and losing myself in the story. 📘☕
The digital age has dramatically decreased the number of people who read. But reading a book can keep you absorbed in ways that other types of stimuli received from in front of a screen won’t do for you. Books challenge your thinking abilities and memorization skills, as well as boost vocabulary and critical thinking skills.
Create a goal for yourself for the number of books you’d like to have read by the end of the year. Each new year, try to increase that number by at least 10 or more. Do this and not only do you learn something from reading a book, you become more wiser and your brain power increases as you build up the book load.
